Bar food, RDC style

Great news if you’re heading to the hotel’s Quarterdeck bar – we’re also serving some delicious snacks and light bites.
We’ve got Padron peppers and a Caesar salad, as well as a charcuterie board and the perfect steak sandwich if you’ve got more of an appetite.
Meanwhile, as part of a dinner series in collaboration with hotels that, like the Relais Henley, are also members of the prestigious PoB collection, Dom recently took part in a six-hands-dinner at the Michelin-starred Gravetye Manor in Sussex.
The dinner was the third and final ‘Seasoned to Perfection’ culinary experience designed to showcase produce from around the British Isles, so Dom cooked up a fabulous dish of Orkney scallops, celeriac purée and hazelnut vinaigrette.
We also had the health and hygiene inspectors in recently and are proud to have received a five-star rating. We run a tight ship in our kitchen and it was great to see that hard work officially recognised.
And that’s not all, it really has been a busy month – we were run off our feet as our special Easter experience at the hotel totally sold out. Thanks to everyone who came to enjoy our afternoon tea and had such kind words for Dom’s full English. It really is the best in Henley!
And finally, huge congrats to the boss as he managed to complete the London Marathon in 3:45:08! All those hours running around the kitchen seemed to pay off!
