Heading into the new season with a Spring in our step
28.03.2024
We’re well and truly into our stride now and pleased to have met so many locals in the last month. We’re also delighted that we’ve already had lots of press interest in our restaurant – with the Henley Standard giving us a lovely little write up!
There’s plenty more news in the pipeline, and we’ll be announcing a whole schedule of events and chef dinners soon so watch this space.
You may have noticed our menu has already changed quite a lot since we opened. That’s because we write our menus every week to make sure that we’re using the highest quality, local produce available to us when it’s at its best.
For example, there’s some beautiful, fresh Spring asparagus on the menu and we’ve been out foraging the abundance of wild garlic springing up everywhere in nearby woods!
The kitchen has also just started working with Wild Hart Venison in Dartmoor, a family business supplying us with wild deer that have been culled for conservation and population control reasons to preserve biodiversity in the countryside.
Or, if you’re just popping round for a drink, with the weather getting a little better, our al fresco drinks terrace is also now open (when we’re not experiencing any April showers, of course).
